2021 is dedicated to remembrance of the victims and the rescuers of The First Week (from 22 June 1941), on the 80th anniversary of the events.

DH raises its voice even as the Lithuanian parliament (Seimas) has lamentably decided to name 2021 for one of the alleged perpetrators of atrocities in Kaunas that week. But the new parliament, following last autumn’s elections, can readily annul this grave error and honor Lithuania’s true heroes of 1941 the fearless, selfless, inspirational rescuers of innocent neighbors.

For information: The Defending History community deplores Putinist dictatorship, revanchism and mischief in neighboring states. Our community is solidly behind the NATO alliance of democratic states and their perpetual independence and freedom. That freedom obviously includes the right to critique the new far right’s Holocaust revisionism, its racism and antisemitism, and state-sponsored glorification of wartime Hitler collaborators.
